Since IGDI's taken...

Hmmm...tonight I and MEC have been trying to come up with a new name for IGDI since we don't have $4000 to invest in IGDI.com...but it's been quite fun couse you come up with such odd names after awhile like FLASHFORGE, SPOORTOWER,GODCORE, IMMIGRUNT, supid-as-fuck-names, but in the heat of the moment the brain stops to work correctly. So, if you have ANY suggestions, post ffs and perhaps you will win a prize.

Yes, yes, I get it, violence is bad

A quick note, violent video games are entertainment and some of them even educational to an extent. That video games (in general?) portray anti-social behavior, dunno, seems odd, cause last time I checked you actually can communicate and interact with other persons whiles gaming (perhaps the pope should get Xbox live?). Violence is not meant to be directed to children of course, it's obvious, why the hell would they otherwise place those goddamned stickers with warnings and guidelines on games?

"Any trend to produce programmes and products - including animated films and video games - which in the name of entertainment exalt violence and portray anti-social behaviour or the trivialization of human sexuality is a perversion, all the more repulsive when these programmes are directed at children and adolescents. How could one explain this ‘entertainment’ to the countless innocent young people who actually suffer violence, exploitation and abuse? ...Again I appeal to the leaders of the media industry to educate and encourage producers to safeguard the common good, to uphold the truth, to protect individual human dignity and promote respect for the needs of the family. "

- the pope wuz 'ere

Guess I should throw away my newly bought copy of Battlefield Vietnam:REDUX. Bad Dawg*, bad.

*editors note: Mr AFK has a pseudonym - Dawg. So it's a "play on words".

Suspicions confirmed

As I claimed months ago or so, the nation wide Swedish embarrassment Basshunter does think of himself and his music as something serious, it’s not meant to mock people –it’s just plain cool shit to freak out to on the dance floor. This was more or less stated (I was kind of intoxicated when I got my suspicions confirmed) by a ‘trustworthy’ intoxicated source in the business.

And the legend returns....wtf, in Stockholm?!

And so Skoevd has awaited teh legend to return from the southern country of Skane. And he did, and he trevelled right passed it all the way to Stockholm instead. Reason? He fell asleep. Sitting in a hotelroom watching CNN, I AM IMPRESSED. See the legend now!

the drunkness of yesterday

The stripes never leave the tiger, and that's a fact. If you know me, you know what I'm talking about. Now where's my damn wallet...? the drunkness of yesterday has not left the building quite yet. How the hell will I ever get working on IGDI today?

No string guitar, no wire needed

A short up-date
---------------------------------
Since I can't sleep and found this article earlier on today for my dear Guitar Hero friends I thought this article to could be interesting for you if you missed it. Red Octane's apparently working on Guitar Hero: '80s Edition for PlayStation 2. So, read "all" about it here.
--------------------------------

Now this was kind of interesting... The explorer to the xbox360 would NOT allow third party companies to construct and sell wireless controllers. One example of this is the xbox360 explorer guitar, now Nyko releases the wireless explorer to the PS2.

Home sweet Rome

Ahh, finally today my favorite show (well one of them, not to confuse with the shield) Rome season 2 had premier! Still I have a few objections about the series (the historical perspective) about what happened etc, and I'm still quite not satisfied with the storywriters not emphasizing the fact that Brutus was Caesars son, but what's a fellow to do? Just wanted everyone that somehow missed out on today’s episode to acknowledge that it's begun again. Further reading about Rome can be read in this intriguing book Rubicon, and I can only recommend you to read it.

...and to a completely different subject, SJ.
SJ is the Swedish railroad company that is suppose to get me home south whenever I need to leave this hellhole in nowhere north. As every year either a storm or snow or both will fuck up the whole railroad system. A few trees have blown over and kind of made it impossible for the trains to travel. How many more trees can there be to blow down over the railroad tracks?! And when the fuck will they learn that it's not smart at all to have trees placed neither alongside railroads nor around power grids?! I've had it with their complete lack of solving this simple problem, why don't they just cut down the godforsaken trees?

This makes me a itzi-bitzi happier at least

DeEvolution?

Every sixth month something "good" happens, and it happens when you least expect it, when you've come to the insight that everything is down the drain, crap de coloure. It's like God (or whatever the hell you believe or not believe in, or life in general, etc) taunts you. You reach a breaking point somehow...down and out for the count...and just so that you won't commit suicide to avoid more taunting, bitchslapping from life, it gives you a little taste of the good life.
Well this graph (x-axis = time, Y-axis = amount of happiness %) can be applied to anything in life, like the last time you got laid, or the last time you played a really great game, got presents, or vacation, etc, etc. Time in between is just time to kill and angst, "work, work". Well, as "Work, Work"-season begins after a sixth-month's end. Happy Go Lucky, I can only hope this theory is trustworthy enough cause then IGDI's got a good chance to succeed. You don't know what IGDI is? Well, perhaps in six months you will.

and by the way....
According to Star Trek, Cats evolved from the Leguanas -now that's something to think about!
