shopping fo x-mas...-box

Bored to hell, unispired, and watching Project Runway, I strafed right, then left and right again -to gamespot with their holiday gift guid in my crosshair. It's too early for this kind of shitload xmas crap, but hey it's better than prantsing around like an idiot hanging up xmas mumbojumbo in my appartment. My one and only 2006-hate-game stood on the top of the mountain of gifts to be recomended and peered down at me with its taunting apperance...Oblivion. Hell, there's at least ONE game that could top and rate out that sucker. Neverwinter nights 2 (or Gears of War if week include the whole spectra of machines, but I wont). Oblivion is overrated and NOT recomended. Buy and play a fun game instead. Play co-op at least. And enjoy it. It's ok to download oblivion, but of you buy it it's not worth the money. I will not rant about Oblivion here, cuz I've already flamed that sucker a few months ago (read that instead). Okay, next game to top the list is Company of Heroes, And that's a great game. I love it, so I don't complain. BUT the third game World Soccer Winning Eleven 9. WTF. Soccer games are meant to be played on a console, why the fuck would I want to buy this?! My three top (PC games) to BUY are:
#1 Neverwinter Nights 2
#2 Company of heroes
#3 Dawn of war -Dark Crusade
****note that Dawn of war DC Only gets a high ranking on my list couse it's been an ass-year of great games to play on teh PC. And NWN2 was better than the first one, and Company of Heroes is a-okay.

But nothing really AMAZED me this year so I've bought me a x360box.....and I will buy Gears of War and Gears of war 2!

So buy an xbox360 instead or a Wii....

Like the anti-CSI

The swedish police force is not to be reckoned with, or is it? It's like the anti-CSI, they do everything wrong. In 1984 the prime minister of Sweden was killed. The cops didnt get there in time to get a fresh lead and eversince they've kinda just done nothing but spend the taxpayers money (not my money luckily..yet). And every two years they come up with some kind of new evidence of some sort, a new witness or something else. Their latest finding was a gun and they're as optimistic as they've been the last 22 years. Gil Grissom (if he were dead) would turn in his grave if he knew this. Anywhoooo, now they believe that the bullets are of the same sort as the ones they found after a robbery a year before the shooting of Palme.
a rough translation from a newspaper in sweden "SVD":
"Due to that the bullets are related there is a small, but still theoretical chance that the weapon is one and the same". I love this quote "small", "theoretical chance"... omg...well if that ain't grasping for straws I don't know what is...the cops should perhaps change their motto to "beating around the bush since 1984"

4Q 2006 ..with an edit

The familiar taste of the epic easter/winter/summer "LANs" are hounting me. The spirit of LAN came over me this weekend, givin me the munchies. I want an Xbox360 now. My nextdoor neighbour Red Latter Blog and MEC had a run with Gears of War, so I dropped in and out, checking it out. At the same time, I and ZGB had a run of Neverwinter Nights 2 over Hamachi. So there was some kind of LAN-weekend going on, something I've missed alot. As night became day and day became night I got my hands on Gears of War, got to play it until my body gave up. Either Im getting older or Ive just lost the 'touch' of staying up at odd hours for days and nights playing games, 'couse I still feel tierd. Gears of War surpried me, and Neverwinter Nights 2 did give me good vibes (Ive just arrived in Neverwinter). The "Xbox live arcade" thingy has proven me wrong, Ive been reluctant to play those games -paying for crap....hmm...think not - but hell there actually are a couple of games I almost would think of buying if I just got myself one of those xbox360's. Perhaps this otherwise bad drought of no good games has come to an end, Im still sceptical though. Still not very impressed with the first 3Q's of 2006 but perhaps NOW will change. Can't wait for the Wii to get released, just hope it delivers and it won't be Wee in good games to come (like the GameCube). I will not buy it at release, there's one big name (guess what), a 'perhaps' or a 'maybe' and Im not prepared to buy another Nintendo product until it proves me wrong -that's the GC's fault. I've been stuck in the trenches of RTS gaming awhile now, like Relics latest masterpiece (and no, sadly enough, not DOW:DarkCrusade) and it got me thinking about the RTS's released on consoles....they usually suck 'cockheadass' but if the Wii will present a few RTS games..? ...and they probably are, but Im to tired to check that out now -got to get to bed, don't want to miss out tomorrows game-session in school, the german's 'pansy panza' shall crush the puny airbornes at 1200 zulu.

couldn't forget about the damn (perhaps nonexisting Wii) RTS's...i sure hope they'll give the Wii a real rts chance. the only game I found was Battalion Wars 2 and thats about as close as I came to finding a Wii rts. what the hell...not exactly what I wished for.

Gibbed

'ello there, it's been awhile since my latest post. I just had to tell you all 'bout my new found love of Gears Of War. Now, you all may be surprised..."new found love?! -it's a fuckin great game and we all have known 'bout it since dawn of mankind"...well, I've been let down many times -the gaming industry really loves to fuck me over with their propaganda (Killzone, Resistance: fall of man, Oblivion, etc) -a whole lot of humbug. Anywho, it kinda explaines why I didn't get my hope up to high, but as soon as I placed the controller in my hands and minced my first kill with the chainsaw, OMFG. NOW there's a reason to get an xbox360...Gears of War, and I only played it for a few minutes.

Scince a few persons asked me to update the Hellion, I've decided to do so. Now, remember it's the first draft (the one thing King and all other authors tell us n00bs never to let anyone see) so it hasn't been reviewed as it should. But hell, i write for people to read it -so why not let them read it?

My brother has demons

Visiting my family down south is allways exiting. If this was an rpg I'd get hell'ova' lot of exp for each and every night i survive. Working the late hours as allways, writing and watching Cops, I'm use to the quietness, the relaxation, etc., etc. Suddenly a stange outcry of demonic words echos throughout the apartment. JAVILLINTA! JAVILLINTA! JAVILLINTA! JAVILLINTA! Fear creaps along the spine, adrenalin pumping like I've got a knive at my throat -it's my brother. I probably should call the cops, at least a monk of some sort. And here he goes again....OMG....one night he'll kill me in my sleep, yelling wierd words...JAVILLINTA!

While hell freezes over...

At least once a year, hell does freeze over. The snow covered outdoors does not lie. This is hell. This is Skövde.

I watched the sunday NFL yesterday night (yes, it's night over here), maxed up on coffine and nicotine, minding my own and writing my novel. Suddenly I heard an odd sound, someone was talking. What the hell I he talking about?! and who was it? Carefully listened to every single word of the jibberish that was spoken. I realized soon enough that I recognized the tune of voice to be Mr. John Madden's. I'm not a 100% sure, but it must have been him. Anyhooow, here is his totally irrevocable prime time comment of the Dallas - Carolina game...

back to the 'while hell freezes over...' part of this post...
Hopefully a few glimpses of light will penetrate the grey sky soon and stimulate my restless soul once again. Things to come this winter:

The ultimate 'gonna break-ya' game review site -Bombtruck, feat. the authors of A Red Letter Blog, My Evil Cyborg, Capt. GIR and perhaps even the 'best-of-the-best' commenter of today, Zombie Grizzly Bear.

The third part of chapter 1 of The Hellion will be available sometime tomorrow.
